Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She was a headgirl of Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A levels. When discussing her character from Emmerdale, Coleman expressed regret for having not attended a university. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while at school. She performed with them during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. The award was presented to her for her performance and the show was highly praised. Coleman was offered the role in the role of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was awarded two awards. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007: Best Newcomer for the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer for the National Television Awards. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman got an award at the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. The 21st of March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman would be the companion of the Doctor alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat claimed that he selected Coleman to play the role of companion because she would work best with Smith. Additionally, Moffat noted that she talked faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field of film since 1987. However she has been more well-known on television than in films. Out of all the roles Eva has played on TV shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which stand out. The role as Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children garnered its 2 Daytime Emmy nominations. This provided her with the opportunity to showcase her music creativity. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and an philanthropist. The actress has three marriages and has a daughter with her second husband.
