Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Her initial inspiration was shadows cast on grass. After a few weeks she came up with a technique which did not render the chosen object onto canvas in an unflat image. The object becomes a representation of its own, and the canvas carries its own interpretation painted by the object, particularly in the case of a living item or something perishable, for example, fruit or humans. Her ephemeral painting style is evident and the only thing that remains of Alexa Meade's art is a photograph. Techniques of photography and painting are closely coordinated and result in a two-dimensional, flat area that is trompe l'oeil. Only certain parts of the image like hair and eyes, show the three-dimensional dimension. Meade often blends her painted characters into the 3-dimensional world around them. They are able to interact with the world she has created for herself. Thereby repealing the boundaries between painting, photography, performance and installation.
